Yesterday, Chris broke a story exposing a memo by a lobbying firm with ties to House Speaker John Boehner: an $850,000 proposal to target Occupy Wall Street. The memo, written by K Street firm Clark, Lytle, Geduldig, Cranford, is a quintessential example of Wall Street interests seeking to use their money and their access to influence the outcome of elections and legislation. The story got a lot of attention.
And as things snowballed yesterday, we kept coming back to one question: what else is out there? Did CLGC pitch this same plan to other clients? Are there more plans like this circulating in Washington? … //
